OUR MISSION

The mission of Orton Gillingham International (O-GI) is to provide state-of-the-art, direct, explicit, multisensory, structured literacy training. The Orton Gillingham (O-G) approach prepares teachers to identify at-­risk readers and successfully provide reading instruction to all students, including those with dyslexia.

 

• Provide participants with the highest quality instruction in the Orton-Gillingham approach and materials to ensure that they can effectively teach all students to successfully read, write, spell and do math

 

• Ensure the successful performance of all students, including those with dyslexia, in reading, writing, spelling, and math

 

• Provide the highest quality Yoshimoto Orton-Gillingham training to educators
   

• Consult with and support schools as they implement Yoshimoto Orton-Gillingham and help them maintain fidelity and best practice to ensure the best student outcomes

 

• Develop and disseminate the highest quality Yoshimoto Orton-Gillingham materials

 

• Provide O-GI preschool literacy and numeracy training to educators with a focus on public and private schools and families

 

• Offer university credit and certification programs for participants, including master trainers on the state, national and international levels in O-GI Reading, Math, ELL, and Pre-School programs

 

• Provide certification opportunities for educators which include a practicum to ensure excellent support and successful implementation.

 

• Offer Yoshimoto Orton-Gillingham training to families so that they have access to the best practice intervention for their children
