
Ronald Yoshimoto has been in the field of literacy for over 35 years as a teacher (private school and public school teacher, resource teacher), principal, social worker, educational diagnostician, summer school coordinator, teacher and director of the Adult School for Dyslexics, teacher trainer and consultant to public schools. He was an elementary and middle school principal of a private school for dyslexic and gifted students for 18 years. For the last 15 years, he has been a trainer in literacy, (Orton-Gillingham) OG/MSL, OG Preschool, multisensory math, and OG with ELL students and has conducted training in U.S.A, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Hawaii and Canada.
Yoshimoto was a former president of the Hawaii Branch of the International Dyslexia Association, a member of the nominating committee of the International Dyslexia Association, as well as a former vice president of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. He is a founder of the MSL Centre in Singapore (OG centre), founder and director of Orton-Gillingham International (based in Denver) and President of the Dyslexia and OG Institute (based in Hawaii). The focus of the latter two organizations is training public school teachers in U.S, in OG; for special education teachers and for general education or mainstream teachers
(K-2 - general education).
